The WASMA Film Society’s objectives and purposes to showcase a diverse range of cinema from a variety of backgrounds and to foster a community that engages with film in a social and critical way will directly benefit enrolled students at ECU.

We want to create a community of WASMA and WAAPA students where they can share knowledge between disciplines and collaborate together on projects. Communities are vital in the arts industry and we aim to platform both schools within ECU together under the banner of film appreciation in order to get to know one another.

Students will have the opportunity to engage with other students that share a passion of cinema and foster those relationships through weekly screenings and other events.
