Hip Pocket Wangara have provided competitive embroidery options for club polos and jackets – the best part is you can purchase the blank jackets or shirts from Kmart or Big W (or any appropriate retailer) for cheaper, instead of purchasing from a supplier who will charge you $30+ per shirt.
Embroidery
- Logo can’t be too small or too complex
- Will usually have a one-off fee to digitise your logo and make it embroidery ready
- Is best for small decorations (sleeve, breast, collar)
- Has no MOQ but would recommend not doing them one by one if you want to be in the good graces of the company
Screen Printing
- Better for bigger runs and larger logos
- If you wanted a large logo on the front or back this is a better option
- Will have a minimum order quantity and a setup fee
- May charge per colour
- Harder to get light colour prints on darker shirts
The ECU Guild also has a Cricut Machine and some heat transfer vinyl. With this you can do a small run (max 10 shirts) with simple logos and names. This gets heat pressed on to your chosen shirt/jacket. Clubs will be expected to pay for the vinyl and help with the application process (heat press)
Other options
You can also compare prices with Vistaprint https://www.vistaprint.com.au/clothing-bags/t-shirts – whilst the quality may not be as great, its just as quick and efficient and has a range of options.
Clubs are also welcome to source their own printing and equipment from their own suppliers of preference.
