(3) It is the mission and objective of the Club to advance the education of the students of Edith Cowan University by –
a. Providing students a space for discussion on environmental, social and academic issues and ideas;
b. Encouraging, supporting and coordinating students and the extended community of Edith Cowan University to engage in green environmental and social justice activism;
c. Upholding and promoting at all times the four pillars of The Greens (WA) –
i. Social and Economic Equity;
ii. Grassroots, Participatory Democracy;
iii. Peace, Nonviolence and Disarmament; and
iv. Ecological Sustainability
d. Hosting events and collaborating with The Greens (WA) and Australian Greens;
e. Promoting and encouraging youth political engagement;
f. Operating in accordance with The Greens (WA) Constitution, Code of Conduct, By-laws, policies and any relevant working group or special interest group mandate;
g. Upholding and maintaining an environment within the Club and University in which no student, nor group of students, no University employee, nor group of University Employees, or visitor from the outside the University, is the subject of discrimination on the basis of race, gender identity, intercultural background, religion, political ideologies, physical or mental ability or age;
h. Collaborating where necessary with the Guild and Edith Cowan University to ensure that any activities undertaken by the Club are relevant and appropriate; and
i. Upholding the Mission and Objectives of Edith Cowan University.
